| Westline Productions in association with the St. John Festival and Cultural Organization and Calsberg Beer present Carnival Music Mix 2002, a calypso and reggae show, at 8:00pm Saturday at the Winston wells Ball Field. In a rare collaboration of calypso and reggae artists, the audience should be in for a treat. "This has not been done in St. John," said Tony Rosario of Westline Productions. "We are bringing the best of both worlds." Featured will be reggae's international recoding artists Third World. Calypsonians set to perform are St. Calypso Monarch Mighty Pat, Dominica calypso King Hunter, King Padio of the British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas Calypso Monarch Whadablee, Louis Ible Jr and Tight Shirt of St. Thomas, and Super T and Mighty Grover of St. John. Imagination Brass, Xpress Band and Pat Reggae also will perform. Rosario said they wanted to experiment with the show and try something different. "We don't know what to expect in St. John," he added. |
